STAND FOR A CAUSE AND CREATE AWARENESS
World Health Organization marked “WORLD’S AIDS DAY” as one of the eight official global health campaigns. Since 1988, December 1st is designated for World’s Aids Day.
Based on study of Global Burden of Diseases, Lyflink’s Director, Dr.Sarthak Patnaik says “ last year, There are more than 1.96 Lakh new HIV infections reported in India and more than 1.31 Lakh people died due to it”.
Today is an opportunity for each one of us worldwide to get united and stand supportive to the people who are fighting against HIV, living with it or rested peace. HIV being a major global health issue, it claimed more than 40 million lives so far and still there are people who are unaware what is HIV?, how does the virus affects and whether they are affected or not. Though the advancement in medication helps, but it is no longer equal to certain death situational cases.
HIV is a virus that leads to AIDS. This AIDS results in failing human’s immune system progressively and potentially with infection and causes death.
HOW THE VIRUS SPREADS?
HIV virus can be spread through 3 different type of fluids, which are blood, semen and breast milk. When the infected fluid is transferred to another, the virus can also be transferred. There are 1% causes of AIDS to just born kids due to the affected mother.
PREVENTION BETTER THAN CURE
There is no final remedy and cure for HIV. But doctors and great scientists helping the people to reduce the HIV virus count in the body to strengthen the immune system of affected person. It can be prevented before hand with our scientific advancements in treatment and laws to protect them that are affected with HIV.
Anti retroviral therapy (ART) is combination of medicines that doesn’t kill the virus but prevents the further progression of the disease, With a regular check on the count of virus and the patient’s immune system it will give a better understanding about the progress of the disease.
It is great to understand doctors receive 70% of the queries regarding HIV/AIDS, where the consultations and understanding is expected.
Lyflink is all here to serve the people and consult online 24/7 , with availability of doctors on call and advice. We consider every person’s lifestyle’s self responsibility and we deal with everyone on same pace. We look forward to educate and help in medication for the healthcare of HIV patients too.
Though December 1st is just once in a year, we can still support people living around the year with HIV by advising to get consultations .This is a reminder for us and government to realize HIV is not washed away. Today on World’s Aids Day, let us create an awareness, education, fight prejudice and be a vital part of supporting the global initiative.
